Gently slide the taper through the hole from the back with the back piece of jewellery on the taper, ensure that the threaded or threadless end is in the correct position

Connect the jewellery to the threaded or threadless end of the taper. If using a threadless taper, you may need to adjust the pin slightly to secure the jewelry. When removing the taper, gently guide it through the piercing with a finger behind the jewelry.
